Tumelo and Jude

Tumelo and Jude actually only became close friends in 2021 and it was only because of the fact that they had so many things in common such as playing the same sports and they also both love the theatre space. They then realised that they are very similar people, almost the same person in two different bodies. In 2022 they attempted to make a clothing brand with a few of their friends, but the boys had a fall out because some were not taking the opportunity to start a business as serious as others were. Tumelo and Jude's aspirations to start a clothing brand actually died and ended after their attempt with their friends, but they both still knew they wanted to create something very different in the community using their creative skills. So at the end of the 2022 Tumelo decided to create his YouTube channel on the 11th of December which he called YNG Tumz. after his page started to grow, Tumelo decided to give Jude his debut to the channel and let him make a feature. Then after Tumelo realised that he really loves entertaining people and that Jude was also good at it, so the boys wanted to create a Youtube group and entertain the people but then they saw that they couldn't actually create the YouTube group because their friends were not as committed to the idea of the group. So Tumelo invited Jude to his house on the 18th of November 2023 with a business pitch he had in mind. Tumelo told Jude that he really does want to make a clothing brand and he wanted Jude to be apart of it because of his. creative design ability but also because he knew that Jude had the same level of determination and work ethic to become successful and change their current lifestyle ways while also being able o retire their parents from young and become the financial backbone's of their family. So Tumelo told Jude the whole idea of creating a streetwear clothing brand but one that is different to every other brand in South Africa, Tumelo told Jude that for this clothing brand we will also create a Youtube channel to also add entertainment to our customers so we can also provide entertainment as a free service. So they decided to also create a Youtube channel with their friends Josh and Tumelo called "CLUB DISTRICT The Show" so that they could provide a service that no other South African brand has. "Fashion is about expressing yourself and not caring about what anyone thinks and this is what Club District means to us we create clothing by expressing our creativity and if that’s what people love then this is the brand for them"-Jude and Tumelo.
